    Differences of drones remote

by Jenny | posted in: Log In | 0

Drone controllers can generally be divided into two main types. The first is an entry-level controller that uses a smartphone or tablet as the control device, typically connected via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. These drones are mainly designed for recreational purposes, as they are suitable for short distances and areas with good signal coverage. However, such drones often face limitations in control distance and signal stability due to the range and performance constraints of wireless signals and smart devices.

The second type is drones equipped with standalone controllers. These controllers can be further categorized into basic controllers and professional controllers. Basic controllers are often similar to the remote controls of recreational drones and may lack the computing power and image transmission capabilities needed for advanced applications.

In contrast, drones controlled by professional DJI remote controls stand out for their superior performance. These professional controllers utilize dedicated wireless communication protocols, such as OcuSync or Lightbridge, which enable longer control distances (up to 2 kilometers), more stable signal transmission, and faster computing power during flight. Additionally, they offer improved video transmission quality and flight control stability. Professional controllers are also equipped with more physical control buttons and joysticks, providing pilots with a broader range of flight options and functionality.

As a result, drones controlled by professional DJI remote controls surpass those controlled by smartphones in terms of signal stability, control distance, and flight control features, making them ideal for advanced applications like agricultural drone operations.
