DJI AG drones help corn to prevent diseases and increase yield in the later stage

DJI AG drones help corn to prevent diseases and increase yield in the later stage

In the past two years, with the rising price of corn, many farmers turned to corn planting. However, although corn is a high-yielding crop, it is often difficult for growers to cultivate it to a peak yield. In order to improve the quality and yield of corn, in addition to selecting high-quality varieties, timely sowing, and strengthening field management, there is also a very key element, which is to strengthen the control of diseases and insect pests and nutritional supplements in the middle and late stages of corn to reduce empty stalks and bald ears.

Right now is the flowering stage of corn, which is also a critical period for corn growth. Due to the low temperature and frequent rains in this area in the early stage of this year, the corn was flooded, and the entire growth cycle of corn was forced to be delayed. In addition, the weather is humid, and red spiders, aphids, and other diseases and insect pests also occur frequently. If the disease prevention and yield increase are not timely, corn will face serious production reduction or even no harvest.

    Bautzen “Almost 5x return”

The local agricultural science and technology crop management team set up demonstration fields and performed yield enhancement and sterilization operations on more than 50 Acres of corn fields.

The team said they have been spraying corn booster packs with drones since 2019. “If the management is carried out in the later stage, the yield can be increased by 540KG per acre. According to the current corn purchase price and input cost, it can almost bring a return of 5 times.”

    用药解读:配药方面这次选择针对性的药剂,例如杀菌剂能消除浸泡后的玉米大斑病;高磷高钾水肥促进叶片吸收营养,使得作物缓苗生长;杀虫剂能有效控制病虫害发生。

    Effect

After 15 days of operation, the demonstration field has been clearly differentiated. “This is the difference between spraying and no spraying. You can see the difference in the autumn harvest. The yellowing corn field next to it has not been treated to prevent diseases and increase production, and the loss of water and fertilizer nutrients may cause the corn to not be fully ripe.

As the frost began to fall at the end of September, if the corn could not be fully ripened in time and the weight could not rise, the harvest would inevitably be affected. He said.

    15 days after the operation

“Spraying is really different from not spraying, and the money is not in vanish.” Through this comparative experiment, farmers are very satisfied with the operation effect of DJI agricultural drones.

    Can’t get off the ground?

A new tool for “over the air” management

Since the corn ridges have been closed in the later stage, and the rain is frequent this year, traditional tractors and elevated vehicles cannot enter the corn fields, otherwise, it will cause problems such as crushing seedlings and trapping vehicles, while the use of drones is not restricted by terrain.

Drones can reduce costs while increasing efficiency and quality by 30%.

Corn disease prevention and yield increase

Many farmers do not have awareness of later investment, thinking that the appearance of corn looks similar, but the difference can be seen when the autumn harvest is weighed. The corn that is growing well has large cob, full grain, and no bald tip.
