Western bean cutworm is a migratory pest with the characteristics of sudden and gluttony. The corn Western bean cutworm gluttonously eats corn leaves as larvae. In severe cases, the leaves are eaten up to form bare stems, resulting in severe yield reduction or even no harvest, affecting crop yield.
“Seeing that the corn is about to be harvested, but now the corn leaves are almost all eaten by insects.” At first, the farmers did not take it seriously. Within a few days, the corn was almost eaten into “bare rods”. The farmers said that because of the continuous drought, This kind of bug reproduces rapidly. If the corn is not treated with pesticides, the corn will soon be eaten to the stalk.
