Over the past eight years, Wonderfull has had the opportunity to work with farmers, custom operators, agronomists, agricultural organizations, and government agencies as agricultural drones have gradually become part of Canadian agriculture.

What We’ve Learned Over the Past Eight Years

When we first entered the agricultural drone industry, we thought most conversations would be about the equipment.

They weren’t.

Most farmers wanted to know whether the technology would actually help their operation.

They asked questions like:

• Will it save me time?

• Is my farm even suitable for a drone?

• What happens if I need support after I purchase one?

After hundreds of conversations, one thing has become very clear.

The most valuable part of an agricultural drone isn’t the aircraft itself.

It’s having another practical tool available when the application window opens.

Whether it’s spraying, spreading, establishing cover crops, or responding to changing field conditions, many farming jobs have a very short window where timing makes all the difference.

Missing that window doesn’t just affect one day’s work.

It can influence crop quality, forage production, weed pressure, farm profitability, soil health, and even the growing conditions for the following season.

That’s why we believe farmers aren’t simply investing in equipment.

They’re investing in the ability to act when timing matters most.

Why Training Comes First

Another lesson we’ve learned is that buying equipment is usually the easy part.

The questions begin afterwards.

How do I become certified?

What training do I need?

What regulations apply?

Who do I call if I have questions during the season?

That’s why Wonderfull has always placed training and ongoing support ahead of sales.

We believe farmers should understand both the advantages and the limitations of agricultural drones before making an investment.

Sometimes a drone is an excellent solution.

Sometimes another approach makes more sense.

Our goal is to help producers make the decision that’s right for their own operation.
