This didn’t start with a finished solution.
It started with uncertainty.
In the early days of COVID, everything slowed down.
Travel stopped. Meetings disappeared. People stayed apart.
At the same time, we were watching how drone technology was being used in China — not only in agriculture, but in public health: disinfecting spaces, reducing human contact, and improving efficiency under difficult conditions.
That’s when we saw the potential.
We began working to introduce this technology into Canada from 2018-2019.
Our first step was to reach out to Health Canada. But progress was slow.
The technology was too new.
There were no clear frameworks.
No one had done this before.
We spent a significant amount of time translating materials, preparing documentation, and navigating a system that simply wasn’t ready — step by step.
It was slow. And it was difficult.
Finding a Path Forward
At the time, agriculture faced its own challenges.
Farm visits were limited. In-person conversations were rare. Most people were cautious about anything new.
But there were a few growers and agricultural groups who were open to learning. They didn’t jump in right away, but they were willing to understand.
That made all the difference.
Agricultural drones didn’t enter the market through promotion.
They grew through real conversations and small, practical steps.

The Early Reality
In the beginning, things were far from stable.
Some early users experienced equipment instability, lack of operational experience, and in some cases, real losses.
So many people waited. Not because they weren’t interested, but because they wanted to see if this technology would actually work.
At the same time, there were many questions:
- Is the data reliable?
- Does low-volume spraying actually work?
- Can this be applied to Canadian crops and conditions?
- Is certification difficult?
- Are there compliance risks?
Some questions came from experience. Others came from uncertainty.
But they all pointed to one core issue:

Our Role
That’s when we became clear about our role.
We are not just here to introduce equipment.
We are here to connect technology with real-world application.
As a Chinese-Canadian team, we are able to work closely with engineering teams in China — understanding the technology at its core, and translating it into practical methods for Canadian agriculture.
When problems arise, we can identify causes faster, and help farmers adjust before small issues become real losses.
This was one of the key reasons we were able to keep moving forward early on.
From Experience to Systems
Over time, we learned something important:
Experience alone is not enough.
Without systems, nothing scales.
Without structure, nothing becomes reliable.So between 2021 and 2022, we began building a structured training and operational system tailored to local conditions.
This included:
- Standardized workflows
- High-level certification and evaluation
- Strict safety and consistency requirements
It wasn’t easy. But it was necessary.
Confidence Comes from Results
As these systems took shape, we saw a clear shift.
When structured training and proper workflows are applied,
drone operations become significantly more stable and predictable.
Incidents are no longer common, they become manageable, and often preventable.
But more importantly:
People regain confidence.
We’ve worked with many operators who didn’t purchase their equipment from us, some had experienced failures, and some had already given up.
But after rebuilding the right understanding and methods,
they were able to regain trust in the technology.

In 2022, we were honoured to become the only organization in North America approved to operate the DJI Agriculture Academy training program,
and Alex Li became an authorized instructor within the system.

It means every operator we train must be prepared not just to fly,
