Why Some Farmers Drive 8 Hours for Agricultural Drone Training

    Want to see the sunrise?

You have to get up early.

If you want great training, we’ve never been afraid of a long drive.

An agricultural drone is not a small investment. So how do you get the most value out of that investment?

In our view, one of the best investments you can make is not repairing mistakes after an incident occurs, but building the right knowledge and operating habits before an incident ever happens.

Over the years, we have welcomed many teams from other provinces for training. Some drove five hours. Some drove eight. Some even drove sixteen.

People often ask why someone would travel that far for training.

The answer is actually quite simple.

They understand that the biggest risk in agricultural drone operations is often not the equipment itself, but an operator who is not fully prepared. Likewise, the value an agricultural drone ultimately delivers is rarely determined by the machine alone. It is determined by the knowledge, skills, and judgment of the person operating it.

This week, we would like to thank the farming community in Quebec for their trust.

The team from Bunny Farms drove eight hours to join us for a week of training that included Advanced Pilot Certificate review, flight operations, safety procedures, DJI Academy training, and real-world agricultural workflow practices.

A week of training is not a small commitment, but compared to years of safer and more efficient operations, it is an investment well worth making.

What makes this story even more meaningful is that our relationship with Bunny Farms did not begin this year.

In fact, they attended one of our agricultural drone demonstrations four or five years ago. At the time, agricultural drones were still relatively new in Canada, and many growers had understandable questions about regulations, training requirements, long-term support, and whether the technology would truly become a practical tool for everyday farming operations.

Over the past several years, they continued to follow the development of agricultural drone technology and observe the different options available in the industry. They were not only evaluating the equipment itself, but also the training systems, technical support, and long-term commitment behind it.

When Bunny Farms ultimately decided to purchase a DJI Agras T100 and travel eight hours to complete their training with us, we do not believe that decision was based on a single demonstration or a single sales conversation.

Rather, it was the result of years of observation.

Because when customers invest in agricultural drone technology, they are not simply choosing a machine. They are also choosing the people behind it, the quality of the training, the reliability of the support, and the confidence that someone will be there when help is needed.

Over the years, we have seen many examples of this.

Some operators come to training after an incident has already occurred. Others choose to build a strong foundation before problems arise. More often than not, it is the latter group that goes on to operate with greater confidence, consistency, and long-term success.

Thank you to Bunny Farms for placing their trust in us.

After years of observation and evaluation, you chose to make the trip and train with us. To us, that trust means far more than making a sale.

Congratulations on successfully completing your training.

May every future takeoff be built on knowledge and preparation—not luck.

Buying the equipment is only the beginning. Learning how to use it effectively is where the real return on investment comes from.

Safe flying, and a successful season ahead.
