Smart Farm App Training is a practical, field-oriented training program designed to help farmers, custom applicators, and drone operators confidently use modern precision agriculture tools in real-world operations.
This course focuses on the complete workflow of agricultural drone applications, from mapping and data collection to mission planning and execution using DJI Agras drones such as the T40, T50, and T100. Rather than teaching isolated features, the training connects each step into a clear and usable process that participants can apply immediately in their own operations.
Participants will learn how to use drones for accurate field mapping and how to transform that data into actionable tasks within the Smart Farm App. The training covers how to import mapping data into DJI Agras systems and convert it into efficient spraying or spreading missions, ensuring that users understand not only how the tools work, but how to use them together effectively.
A key component of the course is terrain analysis. Participants will learn how to interpret elevation and field variability data to improve flight safety, optimize spray consistency, and reduce input waste. This is especially important in real farming environments where terrain differences directly impact application results.
The course also includes advanced orchard operations, which are often one of the most challenging areas in agricultural drone use. Participants will be introduced to three-dimensional flight planning for orchards, including automatic spacing, semi-automatic tree-based planning, and fully manual route design. In addition, the training covers how to use controller-based micro-app tools to create both area-based and strip-based flight missions, giving users flexibility across different crop types and field conditions.
Throughout the training, emphasis is placed on practical application. Participants will work through real scenarios that reflect actual field conditions, learning how to choose the appropriate flight route type, adjust parameters, and execute operations efficiently.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to complete the full operational workflow independently, including mapping a field, analyzing terrain, planning missions, and executing precision agriculture tasks using DJI Agras drones.
This training is suitable for farmers who want to adopt precision agriculture practices, custom applicators looking to improve efficiency and service quality, and new drone operators entering the agricultural sector. No prior experience with drones or the Smart Farm App is required.
