Can I fly DJI Agras drone in Canada?

Yes, you can!

Transport Canada approved the use of drones for general spraying in July 2017. Drones are currently widely used in crop monitoring and crop management in Canadian agriculture.

Large drones, to be precise, drones with a take-off weight exceeding 25KG, such as the DJI Agras series, are very often used to apply granular fertilizers, sow cover crops, and canola. They are also used to pollination, antifreeze spraying and greenhouse shading management, etc. These all legal.

However, if you use a drone to spray pesticides, you must meet the registration and use conditions for pest control products set by Health Canada.

Remember, you need to fly your agriculture drone legally, this is very important.

Should I Complete Basic Operations first or Register the drone first?

It is recommended that you complete basic operations first before registering the drone. This will ensure that the drone is in good working condition and that all safety protocols are followed. Additionally, registering the drone is a legal requirement in many countries, so it is important to make sure that the drone is in good working condition before registering it.
